REGULATION (EU) No 524/2013 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
of 21 May 2013 on the online settlement of consumer disputes and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22 / EC (Regulation on online dispute resolution in consumer affairs).

The ODR Regulation will apply from 9 January 2016 to the out-of-court settlement of disputes (ADR) whereby consumers resident in the Union can act against traders established in the Union and vice versa [7]. The condition is that the dispute is covered by Directive 2013/11 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2013 on alternative dispute resolution in consumer disputes (ADR).
